“I know meditation can help me but I'm not sure what path or practices are right for me"

Do you feel like…

  • You don’t have a clear personal path despite consuming lots of spiritual content?

  • You’re interested in the different paths of Yoga but aren’t quite sure how they fit together

  • You meditate sometimes, but don’t yet have a structured and consistent meditation practice

Your spiritual practice is the fuel that drives all other areas of your life

Deep down you know that if you had a clear personal path & practice, it could transform your life on multiple levels. You’d become the best version of yourself.

Mastering your mind, emotions and energies would mean that you could consciously create the life that you desire.

You’d be able to

  • Maintain a peaceful inner state regardless of what happens externally

  • Handle tough relationships gracefully, without feeling emotionally drained

  • Think from a higher consciousness to attract abundance & prosperity

  • Give your children the best version of you and be the role model you desire to be

But despite all your efforts… you still don’t have a clear personal path and practices that are providing the growth you desire.

Don’t worry, it’s not your fault.

With so much information available on the internet, it’s hard to know what to focus on or who to trust. In fact, this problem of too much information for spiritual seekers also existed in ancient India!

ANCIENT SEEKERS FACED A SIMILAR PROBLEM

2500 years ago, India was home to over 1200 different branches of yoga, each promising spiritual enlightenment through their own unique practices.

This abundance of options was overwhelming for spiritual seekers. That's where the enlightened sage Patanjali came in!

Patanjali saw the confusion caused by this over-specialization and out of his compassion for spiritual aspirants, he embarked on a mission to simplify the spiritual sciences.

He realised that if there were so many paths to awakening, there must be a science behind it all. So, he studied the various schools and extracted the essence of each. His work was so vast that till date people believe that Patanjali was not a single person, but many Rishis (sages) who  compiled the work.

He codified this knowledge into the Yoga Sutras, and for the first time ever, presented spiritual enlightenment as a clear, step-by-step science. An enlightenment formula, or template.

THERE ARE 3 TYPES OF SPIRITUAL SEEKERS

  1. Those that follow a religion

  2. Those that aren’t religious but seek awakening

  3. Those who fall somewhere in between

Which one do you identify with most?

The Eightfold Yogic path can be practiced by all types of seekers, with the practices and worldview varying for each individual.

As a guide, my role is to help you tailor it to YOUR personality and beliefs.

And that’s exactly what we do in the Path to Freedom Program.

MY STORY

Hi, I’m Rishi. I wasn't always on a spiritual path. Years ago, I lived a life I wasn't proud of - constantly partying, using alcohol and other addictions to numb my feelings of emptiness. After eight years of spiraling downward, I finally decided to make a change in 2016.

I’m definitely LUCKY because one of the first thoughts I had was to try meditation. I remembered how as a kid, my Grandfather would have me sit with him in the home temple when he did his practice. He taught me how to chant mantras of different deities and use a mala.

So I started by buying a mala and doing a daily mantra practice, and slowly but surely I was able to overcome my addictions, one after another. I realised that if these practices could transform someone as lost as I was, they could bring immense happiness to others facing more "normal" challenges.

So in 2019, I quit my corporate job in London and traveled to India to deepen my personal practice and learn how to guide others. I got certified to teach over 25 meditation techniques, studied the different philosophies and paths of Yoga, and even studied Ayurveda at a therapist level.

During my time in India, I had the opportunity to meet and learn from many Spiritual  teachers.

The most life changing experience was meeting His Holiness the Dalai Lama. I cannot express what I felt in words, so I'll leave it at that. But after that experience I knew I had to commit to this path of teaching, no matter what.

(One of his four principal commitments is "promoting ancient Indian knowledge about the workings of the mind, emotions and techniques of mental training like meditation).

I learnt that for a spiritual path to be “complete”, it  needs to cover three main areas: mastering your mind, opening your heart, and applying wisdom.

THE 3 PILLARS OF A COMPLETE SPIRITUAL PATH

  1. Mastering your mind

  2. Opening your heart

  3. Applying wisdom

  1. MASTERING YOUR MIND

“A Buddha’s mind is like a smartphone in his pocket. He uses it when he needs to but beyond that it doesn’t interfere with his life.”

The key to mastering your mind is to develop a relationship where you are in control. However, for many of us, our minds are untrained and uncontrolled, leading to negative thoughts, stress, and anxiety. Yoga means not being identified with your mind.

But with the right practices, you can take back control of your mind and transform it into a tool that supports you, rather than hinders you.

In the Path to Freedom program, you'll learn a core meditation technique that is tailored to your beliefs and personality, helping you to calm your mind and nervous system before meditation.

You will also learn the Yogic techniques to calm your mind before meditation, so you can enter deep states of meditation consistently and experience its benefits.

I speak from personal experience, this is how I was able to quit my unhealthy habits. By creating a distance between my monkey mind and the real me,  I no longer felt the pull to engage in destructive behavior.

If you could create a similar distance between you and your thoughts, how would this help you?

2. OPENING YOUR HEART

“A Buddha is someone who radiates unconditional love and sees no separation between self and others.”

Having an open heart goes beyond simply having a strong mind. If your mind is strong but your heart is closed, life can feel lacking in joy and connection. Traumatic experiences from the past can leave blocked energy, causing negative mental states like fear, resentment, or anxiety in social situations. When our heart isn't fully open we can feel easily triggered or irritated, making everyday interactions sour!

That’s why I learnt  heart-opening practices in India, from various traditions. These practices allowed me to forgive those I needed to, and see them with compassion. My thoughts transformed from "I wish this person would leave my life" to "I want to help this person, because I know they're suffering."

In the Path to Freedom program, you'll learn at least one heart-opening practice that resonates with your beliefs and personality. This ensures you experience a transformation that will make you feel confident, compassionate, open and at ease.

3. AWAKENING WISDOM

"The wisdom of a fully awakened individual (a Buddha) allows them to gracefully navigate life without losing their inner peace. They know the right way to handle even the most difficult situations with compassion and gentleness."

Your spiritual path should give you the tools to live life to the fullest! It's like being a bird with two wings - one of compassion and the other of wisdom. Without both, the bird will only go round in circles.

Do you ever find yourself asking, "What is the right thing to do in this situation?" For example, when faced with an imbalance in your relationship or when dealing with a difficult co-worker, it's essential to approach the situation with kindness while still making an impact.

Life can throw unexpected challenges your way, like the loss of a loved one or a sudden illness. Your spiritual path should equip you to handle these situations gracefully, without losing your inner peace.

In the Path to Freedom program, you will learn the Yogic framework for handling any life situation.

The 10 Yogic principles, known as the Yamas and Niyamas, lead to harmony within yourself & with others

You will also learn about Karma and the Law of Karma, allowing you to make decisions with clarity and keep your conscience clear.

These 3 keys make up the eight limbs of Yoga and in the Path to Freedom program, you will learn how to apply them to your own life.

THINKING OF DOING THIS LATER?

Many people believe they will address their spiritual growth once they have resolved other pressing issues, such as their career or relationships. However, incorporating spirituality into your life can actually enhance your ability to transform these areas quickly.

While most people depend only on their outer actions to create change, Yogis understand the ‘unfair advantage’ they get from expanding inner energy to increase their outer impact.

A personal example from my life serves as evidence of the transformative power of these practices. Before I committed to meditating consistently, I wanted to quit drinking, find a partner, and leave my 9-5 job to pursue my passion. Despite thinking about these changes for over six years, nothing happened.

However, after incorporating daily meditation into my life, I was able to overcome my unhealthy habits, quit my job, and even meet my future wife, all within three years.  Of course I cannot take personal credit for any of this! They are all blessings which I'm extremely grateful for. But what I'm trying to say is that these practices help us to overcome our negative tendencies and flourish into the type of person we need to become.

So whether you wish to get un-stuck in a certain area of life, or you simply crave feeling peaceful and orderly within, I encourage you to act now.

Peace & Love

Rishi.
